First-aid kits in game Far Cry 2 use a caduceus symbol instead of the red cross. The Red Cross is a registered mark of International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The symbol is protected by an international law. So game designers have no right to use it in games. They can use other medicine symbols: the caduceus, the rod of Asclepius, the Star of life etc. Or design their own icons, like it was in Tomb Raider Anniversary. Designers used an arabic asterisk instead of cross:
